Yuvan’s own vocals in Oh Shala is just what one expects from the composer – a soft, lilting tune, played with an interesting rhythm that vanishes selectively. Oru vaanavillin pakkathilae is a weak, trite tune and Udit’s Tamil mauling only makes it worse. Vijay Yesudas proves he’s the perfect choice for the deeply reflective lyrics in Enna enna, even though the tune is hackneyed, while Anbulla Sandhya sounds like its wistful companion with a forced, filmy melancholy. Saami varuguthu is authentic and situational. For a soundtrack that has Yuvan’s photos all over the CD cover, the music is just functional
